SCCY in 40sw and 45 acp

Just talked to don a sccy about getting the safety elimination kits and while talking about maybe a 380 conversion for the cpx-1 he mentioned they were working on a 4osw and 45acp and possibly a 380 model in the next year. can't wait to see those. :D

I think Sccy missed the great timing for the .380, but I'd still like to see them produce it.. The CPX-1 is great, but I do wear dress clothes often and concealing is and issue.. If they made a nice small .380 for a comparable price to the CPX-1/2 then I'd be looking closely at it for a 2nd gun.
I don't need a .40 or a .45 for carry.. I don't live in Beirut and I'm not in the special forces.. It's mostly warm where I live so people tend not to wear a lot of thick clothing, so my 9mm is just fine..
My wife has a Sig P238 .380 which is a very nice size, but at $500+ it's too much for me and my situation right now..

I think a 40 would be great. I'm not particularly a fan of .45. Either way, i'm sure the increase in chambering size and overall round power would require a completely new frame design to withstand the force. I'm sure it can be done in .40 but I don't know about .45.

In any case, for an off-duty/concealed carry gun I don't see the need for .45 unless that's what you carry on a job (police, security, military). In this case the muscle memory is more comparable when using the same caliber of round. I think .40 is a great gun because it offers the power of a .45 with the lower recoil and concealment aspects of a 9mm.

Jethro
Maybe it depends on where you live (weather or potential danger), but since I live in Florida, I wish for the .380 1st..
The 9 is plenty enough for people in t-shirts and flip flops.. However the CPX-1 is still a little big and bulky to carry when it's 95 degrees and 90 % humidity.
A smaller version .380 would be nice when I have to wear slacks and polo shirts..
