CPX-2

Postby MillerMonteSS » Fri Oct 08, 2010 10:35 pm

My local gun shop has had them in stock for a few weeks. I could no longer resist and brought her home to live with her older sister. Will be going to the range Sunday to break her in :D

It is VERY similer to the CPX-1. It has some extra "webbing" in the front of the frame under the barrel, but over all about the same less the safety, the book it came with is the same, shows CPX-1 with the safety?

10400 or so higher, my CPX-1 is about 14 months old, so I would say sales are WAY up or the skipped a bunch.

Interesting.. Do you think that means that Sccy intends to cancel production of the CPX-1 within 10,000 units?? So, anything numbered above 45K or 50K is CPX-2 and anything under is CPX-1.. Otherwise I think they would have preceded the number with and A or B or something to denote a different model..

It went well, 200 rounds of WWB no FTF/FTE, then 100 rounds of Federal FMJ same thing no FTF/FTE. Then on to 50 rounds of Remington hollow point. I did have one round that did not eject in the second mag, but the last 3 were fine.

I will clean it and try again with the hollow points first this time, just to make sure it will be as good as my CPX-1 was at first.

Does anybody know where you can get this in Miami? Has anybody tried this with an ankle holster?

I don't know for sure, but I would bet that a KelTec P-11 holster would still work for the CPX-2

Nice to see another CPX2 owner. Is SCCY still making this gun? Seems like a great combo for many enthusiasts obviously including... me!

After being in business for 5 or more years producing the CPX-1 (original version) in the past few months Sccy has released two new models.. The CPX-2 1st, and now the new updated version of the CPX-1..

They have talked about the MPX line for years at this point, with talk about when they will come out "soon", with those deadlines going by and no gun released..
I believe the MPX line was supposed to be a single stack line of guns, and according to the banner at the top of this forum, there was to be a 9mm and .380 model produced..

It will be interesting to see if Matt will respond to this one!!

I also own the CPX-2 and bought a Fobus P-11 paddle holster and the gun does not fit in it. If anyone can find some accessories for the CPX-2 please let me know. Thanks.

Thanx for the update.. I'm a little surprised that it did not fit, but glad you updated us..
In what way did it not fit (too short, to narrow, etc)..

AN Ace Case Tuckable holster (size J) will definitely work..

Keep us updated as to what you find that works for you, and how thing go in general..

They do fit in the FOBUS holsters. I bought an ankle one and it does fit, its extremely tight fit, until you work it in and out a few times it loosens up a bit. I thought the same thing at first that it wouldnt fit. I dont mind the tight fit in an ankle holster I dont have to worry about it possibly falling out!!
